Online Admission Process at Gujarat University
Gujarat University has a centralized system of the admission process. In this process, the students who want to get admitted to any of the general degree colleges in Gujarat state must apply through the university portal. The University on behalf of all of the colleges shall accept the online application and shall shortlist the applications. After this, the University shall publish the Gujarat University Merit List 2024 for BA / BSc / BCom / LLB & Other Courses. The list will be according to the college, the applicants shall have to fill up the online admission remaining process on selection. Gujarat University Admission Intake Capacity Details
For the purpose of Gujarat University Admission to the first year of the programs, available seats shall include all the sanctioned government, grant – in – aid or un – aided seats of the programs in the government, grant – in – aid or unaided university school, department, Government College or institutions. The Gujarat University Admission Committee shall release the intake capacity according to the colleges and also according to the courses.
Online Admission Process at Gujarat University
The admission process for any of the courses at Gujarat University shall start with PIN purchase. Now, to define the PIN, it is an alphanumeric number which every applicant need to purchase on payment of Rs. 125/-. For this the applicants need to visit the University Admission Portal and need to follow the steps as under –
- Visit the Portal through the link below.
- Select PIN for the desired course.
- On the next page, enter Name, Mobile No Email, captcha & click now.
- Confirm transaction details and click on submit for making online payment.
- After successful payment student will get Online Receipt (for PIN).
- Student will also get SMS of PIN details.
- Applicants should Print button allows student to print this online receipt.
Thereafter, the integrated students should visit the link provided on the Gujarat University site (https://eform.gujaratuniversity.ac.in/). To register for the first time the student has to click on the “New Registration” link from the top-left corner of the web page. Thereafter the applicants following the screen can easily fill up the online admission form. Gujarat University Merit List 2024 Download
Admission to the first year of the program shall be to all of the government, grant- in – aid and unaided seats on the basis of merit list prepared by the Gujarat University Admission Committee. The Gujarat University Admission Committee shall prepare merit lists of the eligible candidates who have applied, after online verification of the documents and shall upload it on the web site of the University. Apart from this, the University shall publish the schedule of online counselling program on its website. Selected and interested applicants should therefore follow the admission website regarding this.
Interested students should know that the admission process is conducted by this Committee strictly on the basis of merit and the preference of the student. How does Gujarat University Admission Committee prepare the merit list?
The Gujarat University Merit List of the students, who have applied for admission online within the prescribed limit and who are found eligible for admission under these rules, shall be prepared in the
following, namely –
- For the students who have passed the qualifying examination from any of the recognised Boards mentioned, percentage of marks up to four decimal points obtained in the theory shall be the merit marks.
The criteria for deciding merit order in case of students having equal merit marks shall be based on the following sequence, namely –
- Aggregate marks obtained in qualifying examination.
- English subject marks in qualifying examination.
- Practical Marks ( For Science ).
- Aggregate marks of SSC Examination or equivalent examination
- Date of Birth (Age)
For students other than Gujarat Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar and Gujarat University, Ahmedabad
The boards / Universities who have issued the mark sheet with theory and practical marks must produce certificates issued by school / board / University which clearly indicate classification of theory and practical marks otherwise their registration form will not be accepted. The merit list will be prepared strictly on external theory marks only. This is illustrated through the example as under –
- In subject of statistics 40 marks are for theory and 22 marks are for practical should indicate in the following manner. Statistics: 40 / 70 (Theory) 22 / 30 (Practical) 62 / 100 (Total)
- If there is inclusion of theory / practical as well as external / internal will be classified as follows:

Note that: Those students whose mark sheet include CGPA / Grade only and does not include marks / percentage have to produce equivalent certificate issued by the school / board / university showing the conversion of grade/ CGPA into marks or percentage otherwise their registration form will not be accepted.

Candidates should note that the allotment of seats at the college shall be made on the basis of merit, category of the candidate and availability of seats. During the admission, the allotment of seats shall be published on the web site of the Committee. The candidates are required to obtain the print out of the Information letter and bank fee receipt copies from the website. The candidate, for securing his/her admission, shall have to produce the necessary documents at the allotted college or institution only.
Gujarat University Admission Committee on the event of finding that considerable number of seats fall vacant at various colleges, may conduct the online registration offline admission process on the basis of inter-se merit. After getting the allotment letter, the student shall have to produce registration form, original certificates and testimonials/documents along with the allotment letter for verification, at the respective allotted college, within time-limit as may be specified by the Admission Committee.
